VORTEXpursuit.com Storm Chasing By Ben Prusia Gardner, Kansas
Welcome to the new VORTEXpursuit.com Storm Chasing website! This website is still a work in progress even though we have now
formally launched the new look of the website in time for the 2008 Storm Chasing season. There are still placeholder pages
in place on some sections of the website in the interim like the chase forecast/weather center section as we are still working
on getting HamWeather setup on the website.
New on VORTEXpursuit.com Storm Chasing version 2 is VORTEXpursuit.com Live! Live will be consisting of updated dash cam
images when we are out on an active chase, and live streaming video. Also new is the Blog
which is powered by Blogger and is integrated onto VORTEXpursuit.com. I also have done the chase log for the May 22nd Saint Peter,
Kansas tornado event (I said I would get that done a long time ago), and also the chase log for the May 8, 2003 Lawrence, KS
F2 tornado, with more chase logs to be done soon. Our Storm Chasing Alert
Mode has also changed and is now visible on the top of every page on VORTEXpursuit.com Storm Chasing. The system is now color
coded by if we are out chasing, planning to chase, or not planning to chase. To find out more on the system, click on the
VORTEXpursuit.com Storm Chasing Current Status lettering on the top.
I know this index page is not that interesting, but it will be enhanced soon.
